Work Permit Receiver ( WPR )

The Work Permit Receiver (WPR) course is designed to provide workers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely receive, understand, and comply with work permits before carrying out hazardous or non-routine tasks. The training emphasizes the responsibilities of a Work Permit Receiver in ensuring that all permit conditions, safety precautions, and control measures are fully understood and implemented before work begins.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, including different types of work permits such as Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, Electrical Isolation (LOTO), Excavation, and Lifting Operations. The course covers hazard identification, risk assessment, personal protective equipment (PPE), isolation procedures, gas testing requirements, communication between permit issuers and receivers, emergency response, and permit close-out procedures.

The program also focuses on legal responsibilities, safety regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards. Through classroom instruction, practical examples, and real-world case studies, participants will develop the competence to verify permit requirements, maintain safe working conditions, recognize workplace hazards, and respond effectively to changing site conditions.
